About Me
I'm a Canadian born country singer/songwriter who married an island girl and ended up down in the Caribbean. My wife and I have two boys, and family is number one for me under God.I've been through my share of life experiences, good and bad, and country music is a soundtrack that plays constantly in the background of my life. It makes the ride more enjoyable and helps me make sense of it all.I got started in my music career later in life, self-producing my debut album “Aging Like Whiskey” in 2022 at the age of 36. After releasing that album I realized I want to improve my studio skills and completed a certificate in music production from Berklee College of Music in 2025. I'm still self-producing my music, and just trying to level up the quality each time around.I just released "Bury Me in Blue Jeans" which is a reflection of who I am and what I'm all about. I'm not interested in performative religion that tries to impress God or posture in front of other people trying to impress them either. Life should just be all about just loving God and neighbor as best as we can all the while trusting that Jesus' righteousness covers all the stains we will inevitably get on our clothes along the way, so to speak. That's the road I'm on: making my music, having a lot of fun along the way, trying to love the people around me and giving thanks for God's grace that's always got a firm hold on me even when I lose my footing.Anyway, I'm always working on more music so keep your ears out for more.- Jon Ryttersgaard (pronounced "ritt-ers-gard")
